What are Penis Fillers?

Penis filler refers to dermal filler that is injected into the penis with the goal of increasing girth (thickness) and length.  Penis fillers have become popular during the past 10-15 years due to their level of safety, efficacy and aesthetic outcomes compared to penis enlargement surgery.  Penis fillers have the advantage of providing safe, effective and immediate results with minimal downtime.

The most common fillers used for penis enlargement are hyaluronic acid based fillers which are the same fillers you will find use in women’s facial procedures (ie. lips, cheeks, wrinkles, etc.). Other types of fillers that may be used include collagen building fillers such as calcium based fillers or “permanent” fillers such as PMMA.  We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each below.

Why Do Men Choose Penis Fillers Over Penis Enlargement Surgery?

There are several reasons men may choose penis fillers including:

  • Increased confidence
  • Improved proportions (ie. Balancing head with shaft)
  • Correcting asymmetry (ie. For those with peyronies disease or curves)
  • Increased pleasure for the partner
  • The desire to have a larger penis without having to undergo surgery

Penis Filler Before and After: What to Expect

Patients looking for penis engagement before/after photos have come to the right place.  Upsize has numerous real before/after photos of patients that have undergone penis filler procedures in our various clinics throughout the US and Canada.  Men that view our before / after photos are often amazed or impressed by the natural appearing yet substantial change in size.  Specifics that men may experience include:

  • Increased girth – Men see an increase in erect and flaccid girth of almost any amount desired.  The only limitations are typically based on budget and what would appear natural. Think of it like breast implants.  Women can get any size up to the ridiculous however after a certain point it ceases to look natural.
  • Smooth and natural appearance – Penis fillers that are injected properly have a smooth, symmetrical and natural look to them.
  • Minimal downtime – Some of the before / after penis filler images have been taken immediately after the procedure and you can see that the bruising / swelling is minimal.  There is typically little to no downtime after penis filler procedures.

We always recommend, when viewing before / after photos, that patients verify that they are real and actually patients of that clinic.  We are aware of many penis enlargement clinics that post generic pictures that they have pulled from other websites.  This is why we apply watermarks to our pictures at Upsize.

How Much Girth and Length Can be Gained

As discussed above, an almost unlimited erect and flaccid girth can be gained.  The typical amount however is between 1-2 inches.  The 1-2 inches would be added onto whatever your starting erect girth is and whatever your starting flaccid girth is. For example if you gain one inch flaccid, you will also gain one inch erect.

In terms of length, the gains will only be flaccid.  The maximum length gains tend to be around 0.75 to one inch and the maximum typically occurs in men who are “growers” rather than “showers” as the mechanism of effect is by preventing the penis from shrinking.  Note that due to the anatomy of the penis, it is impossible to increase the erect length of a penis.  There are no surgeries of procedures that will increase the erect penis length.

How Long do Penis Fillers Last

Depending on the type of fillers used, they may last between 18 months and 5 years.  The safe fillers tend to last between 18 months to three years.  The difference between duration depends on the composition of the fillers and the patients metabolism and genetic level of enzymes.

Hyaluronic acid fillers – typically last an average of two years.  These fillers are dissolvable making them relatively safe. Almost any complication, were it to occur, can be dissolved using an enzyme.  We have never seen anyone require an invasive procedure (like surgery) to correct a hyaluronic acid filler procedure.

Collagen stimulating fillers: these typically last between 3-5 years.  The longer lasting they are, the less reversible and less safe they tend to be.

  • Calcium based fillers – these last an average of 3 years.  Upsize advanced procedure uses calcium based fillers.  If needed to be dissolved they may be able to by using sterile water injections.  These are relatively safe as calcium is natural to the body and thus they do not cause allergic or immune reactions.
  • PMMA (Belafill) – these last an average of 5 years. They are often advertised as “permanent” although the actual marketed duration of them is 5 years.  There is no way to reverse these without having surgery.  Allergic or immune reactions are rare.
  • PLLA (Sculptra) – these also last an average of 5 years.  There is also no way to reverse them without surgery.  They can have immune reactions (granulomas) or allergic reactions thus they are required to be skin tested a month in advance of the procedure
  • Silicone (Silikon 1000) – Silikon 1000 is actually not a dermal filler, rather it is an oil used to place in the eye during retinal detachment surgery.  As it is not a filler at all, and not approved for use anywhere in the body except for the eye, we do not recommend patients get Silikon 1000 injected into their penis.  We have seen having had Silikon 1000 injected with complications who would require penis surgery to fix the result.

Note that with all collagen building options, it is possible to require surgery to remove them in the event that there is a complication or imperfect result.  The risk of requiring surgery is greater with silicone compared to PLLA/PMMMA and greater with PLLA/PMMA compared to calcium.  Therefore, of all of the collagen stimulating fillers, we feel calcium fillers are the safest and thus the only ones we offer.

How Does the Penis Filler Procedure Work?

The penis filler procedure is quick (45 minutes), straightforward and virtually painless.

  1. Consultation – before any procedure you will meet with a doctor to discuss risks, benefits, goals and expectations.  You will discuss your medical history with the doctor, receive a focused physical exam and then determine if the procedure is a good fit for you.
  2. Penis Filler Procedure – assuming the procedure is a good fit for you, the doctor will proceed with the procedure.  The first step is to clean the area with an alcohol and chlorhexidine based solution.  The procedure is done using a sterile technique which minimizes the chance of infection.  After cleaning, the area is marked with a felt pen to plan out the injection locations.  Then the skin is numbed with a local anesthetic such as lidocaine.  After numbing, the filler is injected carefully into the correct planes and locations, usually using an aesthetic microcannula.
  3. Molding and/or Adjustments – After the injection procedure is completed, some molding of the filler may be necessary for the doctor to perform.  This mainly includes smoothing out the filler to ensure it is symmetrical.  This is done immediately after the procedure while the penis is still numb. In most cases, no further molding by the patient is necessary.
  4. Aftercare Instructions – Patients will typically be provided with a set of aftercare instructions as well as the doctors personal phone number in the event that the patient has any questions or concerns after leaving the office.  These include not having sex for one week and not using hot tubs or steam rooms for a month. Otherwise there are very few restrictions.
  5. Patients leave the office with immediate results.  There may be some swelling or bruising for a week or two but the filler has now been injected and you will see the immediate outcome.

How Much Does Penis Filler Cost?

The cost of penis filler depends on multiple factors based on experience of the doctor as well as geographic location and product used.  At Upsize the prices are approximately as follows:

Small Enhancement (Large – 6ml) – $3990 (0.5 inches of girth in the average patient)

Moderate Enhancement (XL – 10ml – Most Popular) – $4990 (one inch of girth in the average patient)

High Volume Enhancement (2XL – 15ml) – $7500 (1.5 inches of girth in the average patient)

Penis Filler vs. Penis Enlargement Surgery: Which is Better?

We feel that penis filler is a safer option than penis enlargement surgery for most men.  Men choose penis filler over penis enlargement surgery for several reasons:

  1. Minimally invasive – penis filler does not require cutting, stitches, prolonged recovery times or general anesthesia yet has similar outcomes to surgery.
  2. Reversible – penis filler is reversible in most cases, where penis enlargement surgery needs surgery to correct it or reverse it.  In some cases, with penis enlargement surgeries, even after revision surgery, results or complications are not improved.
  3. Customizable – penis fillers can be added to over time.  So if circumstances change and the patient desires a larger increase, that can easily be done.  For penis enlargement surgeries, particularly ones where implants are inserted, increasing size after the first surgery is typically not advisable.
  4. Low Risk of Complications – Penis filler has a low risk of complications due to the nature of it being easily reversible and not requiring any cutting.

How to Choose the Right Penis Filler Clinic

In order to choose the right penis enlargement procedure, including penis fillers, choosing the right clinic and doctor is imperative.  Things to look for include:

  • A board certified doctor with significant experience in male enhancement procedures and / or men’s cosmetic medicine.
  • Clinics specializing in penile enhancement.  Many clinics offer a multitude of procedures and specialize in none of them.  Upsize specializes solely in penis filler procedures.
  • Real patient reviews and real before / after photos – we are aware of many clinics who use generic before / after procedures, taken from other websites.  As it pertains to reviews, many clinics performing a laundry list of procedures, will have reviews from these procedures (hair removal, breast implants, etc) rather than penis enlargement.  For obvious reasons, it is difficult to get authentic penis enlargement reviews.  Ensure that your chosen clinic has real, authentic reviews.
  • Use of FDA approved fillers – while no filler exists that is FDA approved for use in the penis, physicians in the United States legally use FDA approved medications off label for medically appropriate reasons.  It is illegal and potentially unsafe to use imported, non FDA approved medications (fillers) in the United States.  Ensure that your penis enlargement physician is using legal fillers.

Poorly placed filler or low quality fillers can result in asymmetry, complications and lumpiness whereas expertly placed premium fillers can have amazing, aesthetically pleasing safe outcomes.  Therefore it is imperative to choose your penis enlargement clinic carefully.

The Future of Penis Fillers

With the increase in mens cosmetic procedures in general, penis filler is gaining popularity.  For men seeking increased confidence, a larger penis and improved sexual pleasure, there is no better cosmetic procedure than penis enlargement with dermal fillers.
